Rector’s Cup Football Competition Final:

Business Administration Department pips SLT to emerge Champion

Business Administration department on Friday emerged champion of the Rector’s cup football competition after beating Science Laboratory Technology department 3-2 in a tension soaked fiesta.

The match started by 12;00 noon and the two sides displayed football artistry, the first half of the competition ended goalless. When the second half started, the spectators could not predict who the champion would be, because the two sides were up to the standard.

The match ended goalless, it was decided by penalty. The goalkeeper of the Business Administration department, who emerged the man of the match displayed goalkeeping artistry by stopping two of the four penalty of the SLT department, which made the match to end with 3-2.

When presenting cup to the champion, the Acting Rector, Engineer M.A Okandeji charged the player to see sports as not only to develop body alone, but also meant for intellectual development.

Business department came first, while Science Laboratory Department came second and Accountancy Department came third.
