    The Board of Trustees of Igbajo Polytechnic , Igbajo, has announced the appointment of officials into two principal positions in the institution. 
    They are Dr. (Mrs.) Christiana O. Odejide who fills the vacant position of the Rector of the institution and Mrs. Bukola F. Odetola who was appointed as Registrar (a position in which she has been acting before).

    The institution, it would  be recalled is the first Community polytechnic to be accredited in Nigeria and it has been training students that have been partaking in the National Youth Service (NYSC) scheme for some years now.

    The announcement of the appointments was contained in a release signed by Engr Akin Rotimi who is the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the institution.

    Prior to her appointment, Dr (Mrs)  Odejide worked as Senior Principal Lecturer, Director and Head of Department of Physical and Health Education at the Osun State College of Education , Ila Orangun programme of University of Uyo. She graduated from the University of Benin and University of Ibadan.

    She is a native of Ilesa in Osun State and she is married with children. The two appointees have since resumed duty on Monday Sept. 3rd 2018.

    Meanwhile, the long awaited accreditation and re-accreditation of courses offered by the institution by the National Board for Technical Education ( NBTE ) has been concluded.

    The thirty five (35) man strong NBTE team from Kaduna were at the institution between 15 and 18th August,2018.

    The team led by one of its Directors, Dr Garba Nalardo comprising technical experts and resource persons from several Federal polytechnics and renowned institutions across the country expressed satisfaction with the Calibre of personnel and level of infrastructural developments/equipments attained by the institution within its short time of existence.

    Reaccreditation was done for the National Diploma (ND) Accountancy currently offered by the institution while full accreditation was done for National Diploma (ND) courses in Computer Engineering and Business Administration. The following Higher National Diploma (HND) courses were also considered for Full Accreditation. They are HND – Accounting, HND Microbiology, HND –  Physics with Electronics, HND –  Computer Science, HND –  Business Administration and HND – Statistics.
