    IGBAJO POLYTECHNIC HOLDS 11TH MATRICULATION CEREMONY,  URGED STUDENTS  TO SHUN SOCIAL VICES

    Igbajo polytechnic held her 11th matriculation programme, as students  were urged  to shun Social vices, this was disclosed at Yetunde Oyewole Auditorium in the school premises at exactly 10am because it was one of its kind in the history of A

    Delivering her speech,  the Chairman , Guidance and Counseling, Committee  Mrs. (Lydia Oke), appealed  to the students  to obey the school rules and regulations  and they should not joined any secret association  while on or off campus.

    The guidance and counseling committee is working tirelessly in ensuring  that discipline, moral and integrity is returned to our citadel of learning, so that our students will be sound academically and morally.

    "The sensitization exercise  was organized to reduced immorality among students which on normality, lead to rape and other sexual offences" she added.

    During her welcome address the Registrar (Mrs. Bukola F. Odetola ), Welcomed the members of the school on behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Governing Council members,  the Management /extended Management ,staffers ,parent  and students of Igbajo Polytechnic to the 11th matriculation programme.

    She appealed to the students not to derail from their primary assignment which should be  the major reason they are in school and urged them to distinguished themselves among their peers in other institutions of learning.

    While declaring the matriculation programme open,  the Rector ( Dr. Mrs .C.O. Odejide)  Wished the students a fruitful and memorable stay on the campus.

    Present at the venue was the Chairman Board of Trustees (Chief Adegboyega Awomolo ;SAN) who was ably  represented by Hon. (Chief) Sunday Akere, the Governing Council Chairman; Prof. Olayiwola Osungade, the Directors in the schools, Deans, Head of Departments, lecturers amongst  others.

     An interview with  Miss Damilola Adeleke(Mass Communication Department), who cannot hide her feelings, said she is grateful to God and her parents for making sure that she is educated.

     At the backdrop of the above, She (Damilola Adeleke) however , urged her colleagues to make use of what they learn during the matriculation exercise as the sky is the starting point.
