    PREAMBLE

I want to personally appreciate the bursar, in person of Mr. Akintunde Taiwo Adewale for given me the opportunity to stand here today, God bless you Sir.

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 8th Orientation/Matriculation lecture series of this great Institution. May I use this opportunity to congratulate all our fresh students for being successful in the Admission exercise which has been very keen and competitive and for securing a place in this Institution, it is indeed a privilege which I hope you all will not abuse.

The purpose of this orientation programme as its name suggests is to give students the opportunity to be aware and familiarize themselves with some rules and regulations, for a successful period of their stay in Igajo Polytechnic as students and beyond. In other words, the programme is tailored at preparing you for a rich rewarding studentship of the institution and a highly rewarding future.

Until the recent time we have heard about the case of some students paying their school fees into wrong account or miss-handled their school fee hence the need for this lecture.

    Before we discuss about the mode of payments into the school account, there is need to intimate you with all the bank account details of the institution. The school have four (4) different bank accounts but only three (3) of them are available for students to pay their fees, they are as follows;

    1.

    Igbajo Polytechnic

    Skye Bank Plc, Osogbo

    1770732776

    2.

    Igbajo polytechnic

    Wema Bank Plc, Iragbiji

    0122244375

    3.

    Igbajo polytechnic

    First Bank Plc, Ipetu-Ijesha

    2031250728

The details of your school fees as stated in your admission letter are to be paid into any of the above bank account. Others include; admission form, acceptance, matriculation, faculty, late registration, transcript, statement of result, certificate, penalty like lost of original school receipt e.t.c

    MODE OF PAYMENTS

    1. Direct payment into bank: You can enter any branch of any of the above bank and pay directly into the school account, with this you will collect bank deposit slip, write your name as depositor, write correct account number as applicable and make the deposit. You will then bring the teller to bursary to exchange for the school official receipt. Please note that this teller is subject to confirmation before receipt can be issued.
    2. Bank transfer: You can make use of any form of bank transfer into any of the account mentioned above, this may be with the use of USSD code like Skye bank *833#, First bank *894#, Wema bank *945#, Zenith bank *966# e.t.c. You can use your bank mobile application pre-downloaded on your android phone. Or you can visit the nearest Automated teller machine (ATM) with your ATM card and do the transfer into school account without cash withdrawal. All these modes of payment are also subject to confirmation before official receipt can be issued.
    3. Point of sales (P.O.S): The use of P.O.S machine is available ONLY in the bursary department of Igbajo polytechnic with your ATM card. Confirmation of an approved transaction will be printed for you and this slip will be used in exchange for school receipt with immediate effect, the exchange for school receipt in this form of transaction should not be delayed till the following day.
    4. Cash payment: students can enter the bursary cash office and pay cash directly and collect school receipt for the amount paid immediately.

    Treatment of transaction error

Sometimes, the payers account will be debited while the school account will not be credited due to network failure. The normal practice is that the payer will wait for twenty-four (24) hours for auto reversal; if it is not reversed within 24 hours then the account owner will visit his nearest bank branch to fill necessary form.

    Conclusion

I want to believe with all this explanations on mode of payments of fees into school account, no students will have problem about payments of fees again and nobody will pay into wrong accounts or wrong hand.

On behalf of the bursar, I wish you all round success in this institution. Once again congratulations.
